I was wondering where is the best crappie lake within 1 hr of Midlothian, TX. I am thinking Cedar Creek but wanted to know what you guys think. Thanks for the advise.

Living in Cedar Hill,I can tell you Navarro Mills is 1hr 15 minutes away from Midlothian.Cedar Creek is an hour and a half. For crappie within an hour you can go to Joe Pool,Lake Ray Hubbard, but your best bet is probably White Rock Lake. It would help if you are a bank fisherman to wait till spawning season.

I get to Oak Park @ Navarro in 55 minutes from my driveway. I live 3 miles from I-35E on the east side of Midlothian. Cedar Creek is around 75 Minutes.

Before catfishsalsa owned property there I had a place there and fished that pond a lot. I've caught two crappie over 3 pounds from that pond. I call it a pond but it's about 7-8 acres.

Cedar Creek but don't eliminate Joe Pool.
That's why they call it fishing and not catching!
