here is a story I wrote on how SFA anglers, Ryan Watkins and Andrew Upshaw won the National Title in Arkansas. Andrew will move on to compete at the next level against the top guns of the sport. Very impresive feat!

OK... I have a question... If they win where does money go? To school or them?

that is a very hard question to answer but I will do the best I can. Each tournament does it a little different, and each school disperses the money a little different. The majority of the time the money is dispensed into the "club" account. It is then used by members of the club for entry fees, fuel, and lodging.

There were a lot of critics of BASS when they offered up a spot to the top college angler. I have a feeling Andrew is going to do very well on the Red River.

I thought they get to choose whether to take the money or not? But if he takes it then he wouldn't be able to fish for college?

Andrew will be done with school by that time, I would imagine he keeps the money.

Where did you here that? College bass fishing does not have the same eligibility rules of a varsity sport.
