Seems like to me if you can afford a bass boat, you can afford a Hydrowave if you want. Why do some of the people who think it doesn't work get so mad at the people who have one. This is my attempt at an honest question. I am not trying to attack anyone and sure do not want to be attacked. Just wondering why there are so many hot sports opinions concerning the Hydrowave.

Thats a good question Randy. I can only speak for myself, and I have never gotted mad at anyone but I'll be the first to say I was skeptical when I first saw the commercials on WFN.
My thing was that I couldnt wrap my head around what it actually did, but at the same time I was wondering, "Geez at what point does the guessing game and 'sport' of it all end?".
My guess is that a lot of it is heated skepticism and the thought that a mechanism can actually control the feeding habits and schooling activity of bait fish, and in turn help fishermen catch more fish etc is just thrust into the market full of eager fishermen without a whole lot of actual proven science behind it. And if there is actual science without a doubt and the possibility of mere coincidence can be eliminated then I havent seen it.
That being the case I am completely neutral now on it. I can't afford one and if I could I dont know if I would get one or not. there is other technology that I would spend my money on for sure. All I know for myself, is that I can only continue to practice to try and better myself in constantly changing fishing environments. Thats what makes it fun for me. I still get skunked ocassionally, but thats the sport and there is always the next hunt.

I've seen it in action and it sure does seem to be able to turn bass on and get them in a feeding mode. As to why people get mad, who knows ... some people are just mad at the world.

There's been a lot of gimmicks over the years that haven't worked, and I think those have made for some very skeptical fishermen.

Randy The thing I find the most amusing is that the folks that get upset have never seen a Hydrowave in action. I didnt have an opinion either way until I fished in a boat that had one... now I want one BAD!

I think most people get mad bc bass fishing no longer is an even playing field. It's whoever has the most money wins. I'm not saying just bc you buy it will catch fish but when you figure out how to utilize it correctly you are going to catch more fish than a guy that doesn't have one. I have no problem with people using them. The only problem I have this what's next?

Envy, Jealousy, and Hatred. It's a progression with some people. Sometimes, it causes people to riot, and plunder.
I afforded/bought my Ranger 20 years ago, and I still have it. I wish I could afford a new one NOW. Rangers went from $20K to $60K, and I didn't keep up. But, if I could afford it, I would add HydroWave, side scan, down scan, and everything else. No telling how much I would spend.
Need to improve my LMB fishing, running out of time.

How fast do you want to GO?". But I have fished tournaments out of an old 175 Tracker against guys with $40-$60K bass rigs with all the bells and whistles and taken their money. It makes me smile because I have such a low investment. In my opinion it is just another tool. IF you believe in it, Buy one. IF you don't, Then just feel good that you did not waste you many on one.

There's been a lot of gimmicks over the years that haven't worked, and I think those have made for some very skeptical fishermen. +1 I think a lot of (especailly older) bass fishermen are very jaded about "new and innovative" products. Becuase, lets be honest, there really is tons of total SH!T on the market thats dseigned to trick you into thinking its gonna help, but is a total useless waste. Hell I'm not even 30 yet and I'm REALLY skeptical of new stuff, for this exact reason. But the Hydrowave. . .I'm not sure if its plain old doubt about wheather it works, or if its the belief that somehow using it lowers the sporting quality of fishing, or if its just jealous people who hate everything. I've never used one, but just based on what I have read from the TFF, I would buy one TODAY if I could. Why not?

I think people are just skeptical for the most part. Every other week there's the latest and greatest new lure or toy coming out. As for me, I've talked to enough people that have them and used them that mines on a UPS truck "Out for Delivery" and should be here within the hour!!!

They will spend 300 on a rod x10, but can't cough up $400 for the hydrowave. To me the $300 rods are the gimmick.

All I can say is I have had one for over a month now and I have sold 2 to clients after they see how they work.
I had a customer beg me for mine off of my boat one day.
Guys I tried videoing the school of shad that just hung around the trolling motor but the glare off of the water makes the video bad.
We spend $50k plus on boats, $15 plus on a crankbait. For the $400 investment it has well paid for itself. If you have any questions regarding the HydroWave, Gene is a member of the TFF or feel free to call me or PM.

I am sitting back seeing how others view it and waiting to hear their feedback. If it works it will stand the test of time and if its a fad it will go away fast. I have only heard good things so far so my interest is peaked a bit.
