I haven't been up there this year so not sure on the water conditions or lake levels, temps.

When we go we do alot of good fishing in the river. If you've never been there be sure and get you a good map, that lake is big and its easy to get turned around.

when you get into the river section you will follow it around for a little bit, you'll come to an area where the river looks like it forks. The main part of the river swings to the right. We fish that branch to the left. The second point on the right there are some stumps. We usually start there fishing drop shots, t-rig, cranks, spinnerbaits, and shakeyheads. Just work down the drops of the banks hitting all the points you come to. We've also done pretty good fishing in carson creek there on the main lake usuing the same type of lures. I haven't done much small mouth fishing on the lake the few times we did we focused on the islands in the main lake area and did pretty decent, but to be honest it was several years ago and not sure I could explain what islands we fished.

I hope this helps and let me know if theres anything else I can help you with. Also if you do run the river I'm not sure if they have the boat lane markers back up so be careful. I have seen some good info from several posters on here I think Garysho is around that area and might be someone to pm for some info. Gary if your not the person I'm thinking of then sorry for throwing your name out there.

We were there couple of weeks ago. Didn't do any fishing, but can tell you the lake looks to be about 6 to 8 ft low.

The lake is about 5 ft. low. Yes James I am from that area. I have not been on B.B. lately but will the next couple of weekends. The best fishing will be early and late. Usually when the sun gets over the trees it will be over with. B.B. is a tough lake in the summer. I would bring light line and drop shot gear. Feel free to pm me.

Keep your eyes open for schooling fish, that may be your best bet for good numbers. Get out at daylight and be looking around on secondary points and in some pockets. Good luck. I love the lake.
