oughta be plenty of bank right now..... anyone fishing Whitney? for what? where? How? Why? etc........

I was at the ramp / park east side of the dam with a 13' surf rod and some 2 oz slabs & fly and 4 oz surf spoons. If you can cast 350 - 500' you can find fish near the dam. If they are on top early you will need TC3rod's ( on this forum) casting floats = very nice work. Which reminds me I need to find some also. BTW probably cast 40 times caught 5 small whites and 3 strippers 3-5 lb approx 20 sec fall, before the heat slowed me down.

Found some stumps and a small connecting creek, and caught a 5 lb. bass and a 27" carp. Use sunfish.
