The only dumb questions are the ones that aren't asked.

At least my boat and truck are paid for, woo hoo!

Sometimes, at least for me it was, experience always trumps opinions. In other words get out there and try. The fish will tell you whether what you are doing is right or wrong.

If you can't learn something every day out there, you aren't paying much attention...

That is an absolute fact right there. After a lifetime of mostly fishing the LLM, and understanding what the proper gaming area looks like, my year of fishing Seadrift has certainly made me humble when it comes to staying on top of the fish.

Every single day is new and different. Trout roam here like I've never seen elsewhere, change their positions over night, and change their whole world in a blink....Not at all like the LLM, where they will be steady for weeks, and when they change it's usually not dramatic.

What I've learned, it doesn't matter at all if you caught them here yesterday, if there isn't the proper activity happening, it's a waste of time and effort. Pick up your sticks and head somewhere else.

Don't feel bad about asking questions. That is one of the main reasons that this forum was established....Most of us post on here to learn from others and share our own experiences so that others may learn.

Agreed, I myself have taken away so much just from reading throgh the site. When I have a problem whether it be with my boat of just how to work a particular lure, there's always someone who's been there, done that... Tons of information available on this site!!!

I hardly think that makes someone a dick because they worked hard for years obtaining info that can only come through experience and would be unwilling to flaunt that info for fear of having their hunting/fishing grounds overrun with morons. I think this is a lesson that could be well learned from the "old timers".
