Saturday night I had the pleasure of doing some fishing at one of our area dfw lakes. Fishing was going really good caught 7 before dark on Hyper worm from lake fork tackle company. I was just about done catching dinks. I said to myself "I'm going to change baits & put on the 6" hyper worm" and then I decided to make my last cast and then this Big mama hit. It freaked me out when I saw her come up...and I knew it was a 10 plus. By that time it was dark & NOBODY was around fishing. I called a friend & he said he was fishing at grapevine, so I called my wife, who had just put the baby to bed & was getting in bed herself. I told her, "You gotta come out here! Bring flashlights! Cuz I got a 10 pounder!" And she said, "Are you sure it's a 10 pounder?" after I said, "I'm sure" She without hesitating said, "I'm on my way!" The other part of the story is that it was unofficail lake record. very true story! He sent me the picture and I looked it up and said you realize you have the lake record but, he did the right thing and released the fish to fight another day.
