Backed in just left of center at The Minnow Bucket ramp yesterday and one side of my trailer fell off in a huge hole on the left side. Trailer was at a 45 degree angle and could not be pulled straight out. I had to get another person to help lift and pull the trailer out of the hole after unhooking it from the SUV. Luckily my trailer is very light.

Good to know. Plus the long dock at the MB is an accident waiting to happen. They need to do some renovations to it before someone falls through and gets hurt. The lawsuit will offset any money they think they are saving by not doing routine maintenance to their docks. You guys help me by voicing your opinion to the owners. They are nice folks but apparently not too savvy in business.

Some folks just don't care. Hopefully they will take notice and do something before someone gets hurt.

Thanks,

That sorry excuse for a dock is the reason I won't launch there, or use any of their amenities. It is only a matter of time before someone does get hurt there. I'm amazed that it hasn't happened yet.

Not to mention the metal that is rusting through on the short one and ready to collapse.

Just a note. Fishermans Cove ramp will not be useable too much longer and it is very shallow from the ramp to deeper water.

Churns a lot of mud just getting to the ramp

That dock is a joke for the amount of money that place brings in.

How are they not required by law to maintain it to a certain level of quality/safety? ...or just doing so at their own risk since it is privately owned?...not very feasible.. loco

No joke. We tied up to that piece of [censored] and ate lunch inside. Climbing that ladder they have tied on is an adventure in itself. Don't step on the top step or your gone. Welds are busted. Not to mention over half the boards are rotted. At least the burger was good.

In the past I have stayed at the Bucket many times. The son of the previous owner ,Chris, was always very accomodateing. However none of the facilities includeing docks and ramps were ever maintained at a very high standard.Sounds like the new owners are not into improvements.

Outside of any local building code, there is no agency that they answer to, only their liability insurer. One would think that their insurance agent / underwriter would want them to maintain a certain safety - maintenance standard. So being as they're not keeping up with the maintenance / safety - are they even carrying liability insurance?

The only way i get near that thing is to offload, pick partner up strait off the ramp and go out and wait for the T to start. was not as bad when the water was up but now that thing is a death trap. and it will scratch your boat even getting near it

How is the public ramp on 17 between Lake Fork Marina and 515?
