San Juan Worm, easiest thing to tie and it almost always gets a hit.
Next would be a prince nymph
Both can be used as a last chance.

Olive Wooly Booger with out question is my favorite.
Canoes, too, are unobtrusive; they don't storm the natural world or ride over it, but drift in upon it as a part of its own silence. (John Graves)

Micah 6:8 He has showed you, O man, what is good. And what does the LORD require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.

Clousers will catch most fish at most times, just change up the amount of weight and dressing for the need.

I have somehow settled on the Mudddler Minnow. I have caught more bass on Muddlers than all other flies.
But there are so many other good flies as well, its like Lays potato chips.....

A Wooly Worm tied to imitate a tent caterpillar. Unweighted, grease the hackles (only) so it floats. Catches most everything, especially under bushes near bank. Ralph

I too would have to choose Matt\'s Bug as my first pick; with the Llano Bug being a very close second.
