What pesticides?? Pond looks clean and people have been catching healthy fish in there, just not a lot. The heat is making the bite tough. Edit: It's not uncommon to use chemicals to kill algae, but it's been a few weeks and it doesn't seem to be affecting the fish that I can see. Was out there last week and saw fish all over...just getting them to bite is the hard part.

It was a liscensed fishery so I'm sure it wasn't the type of pesticides your thinking of.

On a side note to that, when mholmes and I were at Keller Town Hall last weekend, I saw a few different schools of bass cruising the shallows...they are there, just skiddish.

Thanks guys I havent been out there yet bc of the algae killer. There's a pond by my house that they did it to and they had to spend 12 hr. Cleaning out all the dead fish. But if it's fine then I think I'll try that one with my friend this Monday. I've been using a red Texas rig worm to get all my bites lately nothing else has been producing.

there are more fish at the town hall then we can catch. the problem is the heat.....and it just isn't these ponds, its all across the state. i am not kevin van dam or any great fisherman, but when even the bluegill aren't biting that is a problem. they always bite. i seriously can't wait until it cools down. as for the pesticide, i wouldn't worry about that too much, if they put it in on the 14th. i have caught fish out there since then. mattg and i did a great job- he caught a catfish on a bass lure. i caught a bass on a panfish crankbait and a warmouth on a bass lure.

I did a drive bye on the pond that supossedly is behind Southlake Police Dept. There actually was a pond, kinda small but nice looking. Only problem is there is only small area to even cast from & it just doesnt look probable to even try..unless I missed or didnt see another opening. You'll have to go look to understand. Mholmes, Town hall is gonna be the spot when it cools down, I'm right with ya!
