KVD is a hand switcher, even though he can cast either handed, he still employs the conventional method when he's cranking, etc. with a baitcaster.

I cast right and reel right with either a bait caster or spinning.

I'm right and right on baitcasters. Made a New Years resolution to learn to cast left and crank right (like many pro's)...... Well that fell by the way side along with my diet.

I naturally cast left and reel right. Never had to think about it.

I'm right handed but I taught Myself as a Teenager ( i think out of laziness) to cast with My left and reel with My right just because it was quicker and easier not to have to switch hands. It's kinda of funny because now it seems a little awkward to cast with My right hand.

I've always thrown right and reeled right handed no matter what kind of reel. Usually I have switched hands before the lure hits the water.

this for me too, except the only way I can flip/pitch is lefty, altho I'm still no good.

I cast with my right, reel with my left. Found the miracle of left handed baitcasters two years ago and have been in love ever since. Plus I don't get that weird forearm muscle from using one hand too much wink

I'm right handed. And, I have good rod control/accuracy by casting with my right hand (naturally).
However, I see no advantage to switching hands, therfore ALL my reels are 'lefties'. It makes sense to me, and it works great for ME. Of course, I'm not as good as KVD.....

Need to improve my LMB fishing, running out of time.

I cast and reel with my right hand. I'm a hand switcher. I've tried casting with my left hand but fearful of tossing the rod and reel in the water.

If I'm really in need of instant lure control without taking the time to switch hands, I use spinning tackle. Otherwise, yes I cast with the right & reel with the right as well. Have even found that I pick up on more light strikes while slabbing using my right hand over the left.

never could figure out why they started making bait casters right hand cranks in the first place. I've been using left hand ret. reels since they came out years ago. What ever you're used to works.

i cast with right and reel with left... main reason.. my right arm is stronger and could hold up the fight alot better with a large fish (not that i catch any. i can reel better with my right hand, but feel like reeling is the part to do with weak hand.

plus i only have spinning gear

if I reel left handed for longer than a few cranks... it turns into a circus act! I end up looking like a retard trying to eat a donut!
