I curretnly have two Revo SX's in 6.4 to 1 gear ratio. I am looking to purchase a high speed and have been looking at the STX. In your opinions is the STX worth the extra 30 bucks or so? I really like the SX reels and think I would like to stay with Abu Garcia for the high speed just thougth I might move on up.

I like the current model sx better than the current model stx.A couple of years ago I would say get the stx over the sx,butnow the current sx is pretty much the old stx.The dual breaking on the new stx is kind of gimmicky.I do like the swept handle though.

I prefer the Revo "S"...simple to use, works, reliable, and smooth...and did I say simple to use!! lol Tried messing with the breaks on my Curado E-7....spent the next hour pulling out the nest!! lol Note to self, never, and I mean never mess with the breaks of my reels again!

Thanks everyone and especially Bud 1, been there and done that, not a pleasant experience. I think I'll stick with the SX.

New Sx are great, I like most of the line, but the premier is my least favorite, go figure. The S is a great reel for the money, I cathc em on sale gonna get a few more, I only have 20+ revos woot
