 Went Fishing right off of Packery..............

Went fishing right off of packery right on the curve off of SPID right down from clems marina about two hours before dark with dead shrimp on a texas/carolina rig and was catching 15" reds just as fast as my bait would hit the water. What a wonderful sign to see all of these junior reds around. I caught and released around 15 reds all the same size, i guess their mom and dads didnt want to come out to play today to bad.....

I love it when they hitting like that. The last year I have mainly been doing catch and release. So small ones are just as much fun as the big ones. Well almost. I cant make it down to the packery until October. That too long.

it was a good time!!! Went the day after and still was catch them at a pretty good rate. Right before dark!

Im headed down that way next week. So were you parking / fishing from SPID itself (NW of clems marina) or fishing in the Packery channel - like from the PC park (SE of clems marina)? Sorry I have never been there and I'm looking at a map trying to figure it out.
