according to the SRA (at a LFSA meeting last fall) the water going out the pipeline does not go to Tawakoni.
Outside of Tawakoni there is a really big "wye" valve. Either the water coming from Fork or the water coming from Tawakoni will flow into the holding resevoir at Terrell and then into the Dallas water system.
None of the water from the two lakes ever mix.
As far as the repairs to the pumps at Tawakoni. It could be up to another 1 1/2 years before they are replaced or fixed.

Nothing major showing in this chart. Still dropping steady at ~2.5 inches per week. Would not be surprised to see 3+ inches per week with all the evaporation in this heat. http://waterdata.usgs.gov/tx/nwis/uv?cb_...ite_no=08018800

There will be a slight release to keep water in the Fork Creek. They are also pumping water to Tawakoni, keeping both lakes about the same level of feet low.
