Just so there isn't any misunderstanding about the concho park ramps. There is another 4 lane ramp there that is still accessible to the lake.

yeah ,the one set is still in water. only ramp in cove is dry.. we saw a boat loading from them sunday morning. guess the ramp is ok but they must have got out of channel and tore their prop up.. jerry said there was 17 ft above end of elm creek ramps i believe. i wonder whats over the end of concho ramps?

think i stepped off right at 100 steps from water to top of ramp at elm creek. never thought i would have to back in that far in to launch... im not sure about padgitt ramps either. if its 17 ft over the end elm creek ramps i figure it would have to drop another 14 to 15 ft be close to the trailer falling off the end of ramp???

All the land around Ivie is privately owned land. So, you can't drive around it. You can see a lot of the old secret stuff now by boat, as a lot of the ponds are high and dry, the road beds show up everywhere, fence lines are showing, humps are showing and big trees next to drop offs are sticking way out of the water.

There is a spot on one of the Kennedy ramps that has caved in. You can see it on your down scan and side scan really well. It covers about half the width of the ramp and is about 2 feet long. It won't be a problem unless we lose about 8 more feet of water. Last I was there, I marked just over 15' depth at the end of the ramps.

If you put in at the Concho ramp, do not back out with your big motor very far. It's silted in to only 3 feet deep about 30 or so feet out from the ramp.

There's still plenty of water and the big fish are biting pretty well. Soon as it cools down some, it's time to make the trip! If you go night fishing, I highly reccomend that you plot a trail on your GPS in the daylight to make it back to the ramp through all the bigger trees that are sticking out in the middle of where everyone used to run all the time.

I was in Midland all last week and the locals say they have had no rain for 300+ days. Midland Odessa get their water from Ivie and 3 other lakes I was told. Everyone is on strict water restrictions except if your on a water well. They need rain very very BAD!!!! The hurricane fizzled out on saturday so still no rain! They need prayers for rain

Smoke on!

itll come. the jet stream has gotta make some changes. Im hoping it decides to change and send us our fall moisture. My family is in the ranching business so we are hurting in more ways than one besides the west TX lake situation.
If something doesnt change it looks like my livelihood will have to change back to shoeing horses full time.

Air Force Bass.... you should do really well that time of the year. Be sure and holler at any one of us that guides there to find out the current bite.

man thats a sad sight. makes me sick. but hey look at the good. set some brush piles and structure and improve those ramps before the mysterious wet stuff from the sky comes again.

Pray for Rain.
