Hey everyone,
I noticed several posts here recently about the levels of different lakes being low. If you consistently go to a certain lake, post up a update on the water level.
Also add whether or not it's getting dangerous for boaters or any information that may be important to know. This is really important for this time of year during the hottest part of the summer.
You never know who may completely avoid a accident or injury based on the update you provide.
This goes for any and every lake, if you dont see if posted up than please post.
Thanks guys, remember safety first out there.
-Zach

OH Ivie's level was super low a couple weeks ago, and then Mrs. Philpot went out there this last Sunday, and it had dropped another 4 or 5 feet. The Padgitt ramp is still good, and I'm certain that Kennedy is still good to use (but I haven't been there in a couple months). It won't be long until the Grape Creek cove is plum dry outside of the channel. Leaday is completely above water and cows are grazing on my honeyholes from years past there, and the same is true for Grape Creek and Wheeler Branch. It's going to take several big rains to heal her back up looks like.

The ramps at Lake Waxahachie are high and dry. Bardwell is about the same. Waxahachie Creek Park ramps are closed. Not sure about Highview or Love parks.

I should have taken some pics. To get Steve's little boat off the trailer at Lake Waxahachie, he had is 4-Runner all the way at the bottom of the ramp, all four wheels in the water on a flat spot just to get enough water under the boat to float it off the trailer. We still had to wade out to unload and load it. I watched a guy with one of them dang ski boats try to launch, he backed his truck down the ramp and when the trailer was past the end of the ramp on the flat, the boat was still high and dry. He pulled back up and left, thus leaving a small piece of the lake peaceful enough to fish in.

Arlington is super low, and you gotta watch out while you are out there. If you haven't been out there lately I wouldn't suggest going at night. I could still launch at bowman springs but barely. Arkansas ramp might be better, I dunno.
These doods were launching their wake boat the other day when I was coming in. I thought they were crazy.

This is Concho short ramp at now THis is same ramp at 17' low

Goodness gracious, Heycods. I haven't been past Yellow Bluff in a long time and had no idea that it was in that bad of shape towards the Concho. The river channel ought to be easy to see right now.

We'll get our rain of some sort between the last week of August and Labor Day. Happens every year, and I hope it's a big one. It hasn't failed to have a little norther come through, dump rain in various amounts, and run all the local doves off around this time in alot of years that I can remember.
