My new Pond has small pods of a floating green something, I guess algae. It is 1 acre and averages about 6 foot deep. If I aerate it will it keep it under control? It's not bad right now.
Retirement best job ever.

No guarantees that it will"control" it but it will help in the long run. Some algae and vegetation is a natural part of a pond, moderation is the key

Thanks I have made a couple of aerators that are moving the water great. The pond is usually about 3 acres and 18 foot deep. It shouldn't get any shallower than it is now due to some low pressure springs.
