I purchased a LAH map from academy and found it to be kind of pointless...
is there a place to find LAH maps online that show features a little more in depth.(rockpiles/ledges/humps etc...) I was wanting to find some new deepwater structure to fish... Any help will be appreciated! Thanks!

Unfortunately, I am not aware of any that have been produced. You might try looking on Google Maps and see if they have anything the way the lake used to be.
I KNOW I need to complete my DVR from tapes I took a long time ago. I have VHS tapes of the lake at 20, 30, 43 and 51' depths. I also know where 10 tank dams and 28 springs are located. Unfortunately, I do not have them in a finished product as of yet. If you have a backseat open, I would be glad to show you where a lot of the stuff you might be looking for is, but it is locked in my memory and on the tapes/CD's I converted it too. We own the land as you cross the bridge. The land on the left far bank with the boat ramp that is now dry. Bandy Cash (Clyde's father) was the owner of all of that land and he was my dad's uncle, so we know a LOT about that land from about 1936 until it was impounded. I can show you a 1/2 acre tank that was s12' deep that a 10 lb LMB NATIVE was caught out of in 1969.
PM me if you have a back seat open one of these days. When the DVR gets done, I think the price will be like $75 or so, dunno yet.
Hope this helps.
Tight lines, keep safe and good luck.

If you haven't seen it yet, you might check out Angling Technologies at www.findyourwater.com. They have a free interactive lake map that is pretty handy for a freebie. I haven't tried the buy-up version, so I don't know what that offers. I use that and Navionics on my iphone to find interesting spots, then scope it out with side imaging on the water.

Like Thad, I was in Lubbock when AH was being built. Went out to the site regularly and mapped out all the borrow pits and brush mounds they pushed up, as well as tanks,etc... Fished the lake since it first opened, and know where some giant oak trees as big around as your boat are just lying on the edge of creek channels. The best map is the one you make. Just take that map you have and your electronics, and in December go mapping. I'll also send you a PM.

That is the original that the hot spot was made off of. Its pretty useless. If I can find the phone number I used to have the guys phone number that did the last survey at AH before the dam was built. Bet I can get it for a price.
