It only said 109 at the bank about 1pm.

I will be going at least twice this week. Get out early or late and be smart about hydration. If I can work in this cr@p I sure can play in it too!

Yep, get out there at daylight and then come back in by 10:30. The morning hours from 6-8 am are very comfortable then by 9 or so its getting warmer. If your catching fish and staying busy then you'll be good till 10 or so. Then kick that boat into high gear and turn the a/c on while your headed to the ramp. It beats not going at all.

Hit the LE bridge (720) on saturday. Stayed from about 7pm-11pm and all I caught was a drum. I must not be fishing the right spot. Any suggestions? I'm going out there again tomorrow and would really like to boat a slab. Thanks in advance!

Okay. Sweet. Do you know of a place i could launch my bass buster close to there? All i've got is a 40# trollin motor so it'd have to be a pretty short haul.

Closest is westlake. Probably too far for a trolling motor. Might give the 35 bridge a shot. I know there is a ramp about the same distance away as the little elm bridge.

My solution to HOT, Bimini Top and spray bottle full of water that I keep in the cooler, DC/AC voltage converter and a box fan. Fish from the shade of the top, spray myself with cool water and sit in front of the fan. With the remote of the Terrova in one hand and the handle of the rod in the other. Using this system, I can fish all day. fish

I should have taken a photo of my depth finder in my kayak on Benbrook Sunday. The transducer is glued to the floor, so with the sun beating down on it, the temp it shows isn't really the water temperature. It was reading 118 degrees.......LOL.

Maybe I'll just stay in my big boat under the umbrella until the heat eases.
