I canNOT I repeat canNOT wait till they start moving into the creeks!!!

When do you think they will start?? Just wondering... Because I know how to catch them when they are here, I just want to know when they start creeping into the creeks.

Don't feel bad. I can't wait either. Last year at Lewisville, I caught some nice fish in the creeks on November 9th. Before that nothing, and it got better after that.

Usually around Thanksgiving is when they show up. Whenever the leaves start falling and begin to cover the ground is a good time to start looking for them. Look for the schools of shad coming to the creeks and the crappie won't be far behind. I'm looking forward to the cooler weather also! It's tough on us bank fisherman this time of year for crappie.

this assumes there will actually be any water in the creeks this fall. If it doesn't rain you can count fall crappie run out.

Very true. Also depends on how deep the entrances to the creeks are.

Here's to cooler (like about 25 degrees) weather and rain (lot of it)!

There's a fine line between fishing and sitting on the water looking like a darn fool.

When the temps hit 55, around turkey time, they will be there. My records say we boated over 1600 crappie near old Alton bridge at the bends. End of sept should start them a bit.

I havent heard any good there in a while. Last time I did any good was 2 winters ago night fishing. There was one spot a foot off the bank I was fishing maybe 8ft+ deep... and also across the river on the cliff about the same depth.
