I am looking for recommendations for a bay guide and a place to stay in port aransas for my wife and I and our 7 year old.

We have no experience fishing inshore, but we are experienced freshwater anglers.

I know the best experiences usually come from word of mouth, so, please share.

we are heading down sunday or monday of next week and staying through friday.

i would prefer to do business with christians if i have an option.

Thanks!
lance

I would suggest you call Don or Petra Schultz in rockport. Either and/or are excellent with kids and families and you will catch fish. Green Hornet Guide Service out of Rockport.

We stayed at Port Royal condos. The rooms were fantastic. Outside the room, the entry ways, garage, pool area, walkways were gross. There was lots of crud floating the pools. They did not regularly pick up towels outside. Very disappointed. I would not stay there again.

Beachgate is the best option for families. Close to the beach, great atmosphere, and one of the cleanest stretches of beach in PortA.

I can go fishing while the family enjoys the beach.

One 10-pounder is better than ten 1-pounders; but 100 1-pounders is ok too!

I stay at the Shark Reef Motel on Cutoff Rd. Clean rooms, reasonable rates, nice pool. Been going there for years. New owners about 5 years ago improved it more.
