Any chance of being able to catch hybrids in the Trinity river??

In the Elm Fork yes. I have had some on before but turning them around is another story with 8lb line. Below the spillways is where I have seen the most success. There are also some 2-3lb sandies in there.

Elm Fork in the Spring when the whites are spawning. The hybirds tag along.

Ive caught em pretty far up the 1187 part over by Whiskey Flatts but it was around spring time.

There are also hybrids in the trinity down below the richland chambers spillway. We fish the area from the RC spillway down to around crocket occasionally. There are some monsters in there.

Yep, some tremendous hybrids around Crocket. I assume they came from RC...one of the greatest fishing venues in Texas, IMO is fighting a big hybrid on the river from the bank. Doesn't get much better in freshwater.

Curly tail grubs, 2.5-3 inch, on 1/8th to 1/4 oz jig heads. u can see the grubs on one of the pics.
And yes i too use 8-10 lb test
