With my boat, back up and running, No thanks to Cabelas, Tator, Twxasfivegun and myself went to Twak and put in at State park. Went the next cove over and in less than 8 throws of the cast net, filled up my 40 gal baitwell with nice 4-6" baits.

Decided to drift out of Wolf Cove from 8', down through the trough to 25' and back up into shallow waters of holiday hump.

After two long drifts, nothing. Saw a few boats on north east side of Holiday hump, dint know how they were doing.

Left there to try around the dam stripe and then the trees. Again, nothing. Fishing from the bottom to around 22'. No action, anywhere.

Decided to drop the balls with the Pet spoons and immediately hooked up 3 good hybrids around the through at wolf cove, pulling the pets at 18'. #14 chrome with a self tied green feather trailer. Also one that seemed pretty big hit a white DD 22.

Bite slowed to a stop around 1:30 or si and we went to troll the dam. All our usual spots showed lots of fish. But only a couple blue cats around 4# hit.

Only thing we didn't try was chunking lead. May have been the ticket today but we didn't skunk and our three hybrids were 21 1/4", 24+" and one at 25+". Just enough to blacken on Monday.

No pics but good times. Man!!! It was HOT!!!

We had about the same luck, trolled over tons of fish but only picked up 6 all day. Did it seem hot to you or was it just us?
