I used earthworms the other day and I don't use them often. They were definitely the right choice that day as the bite was ridiculous. I know it won't always be that way, but the fact that it can be like that makes me want to try them more often. Does anyone have any good techniques for keeping the ones you don't use or do they pretty much just die??
Thanks!

I use worms a lot. I usually buy the Magic Brand Night Crawlers. I keep them in my refrigerator in one of the lower boxes. They usually keep for two weeks. When I take them out I use Coleman Ice Bricks to keep them cold throughout the day. This helps them stay alive. Again usually two weeks is about how long they last.

Wow! 2 weeks is much better than I would have guessed. Thanks for the tip!

I've have also heard that some people put used coffee grounds and some other stuff in the soil of the container to "feed" them and supposedly it helps them last longer. Don't remember all that people use but you could google it and should come up with loads of info.

And there isn't quiet anything like cutting a hot lifeless earthworm, dang that gets messy, keep them cold for better hooking too.
