I went to Fork today and caught my personal best largemouth bass. It weighed 8.7 lbs and measured right at 25 inches. I caught her on a Gene Larew 12 inch worm. Fishing was relatively slow this morning compared to the last five weekends. I think the shad moved out of the creek or to deeper water. I didnt find any schooling bass or sandbass all day. We totaled 11 LMB and 6 sandbass.

This 8.7 lb Bass measured 25in after I adjusted its tail fin and closed its mouth on my measuring board.

I found bass stacked on the bottom in 20ft of water and after about 7 casts I landed 4 bass from the same cluster of stumps including the 8lber. I caught them all on a 12 in worm.

This bass weighed 3.15lbs

Nice fish! I went out to Fork last night and a ton for catfish hitting topwaters. I caught over 20, most were about 16-18 inches long. Fun on light tackle.

I have been skunked on bass the last couple of times I went out there. I cannot wait for fall fishing!

PS, Dig the XR50 in the pic, I throw them often...

My dog's breath smells like cat food...

I pulled four fish out of that hole and it was the fourth and final. It wedged me between two trees and got me high centered. To top it all off it was barely hooked under the roof of its mouth. After all the commotion, all the fish that I was marking on my sonar were goneblank screen. It was a blast!

Nice pics - especially the one showing structure and depth on your Lowrance.

Most excellent.
