I have a '03 BassCat Cougar with a Maxxum 101. This past weekend it stopped working when I cranked it up to about 80. I just quit, so it appears be a fuse/circuit that needs reset from talking others with similar experience. Everyone described an inline circuit breaker that has a reset on the side. I thought it was the one with the tape in the photo below. It didn't have the tape until I remove the "tent" cover that was covering it. From the descriptions I got I thought that was it. However, it's just another fuse similar to the other I have circled. Anyone have any ideas? I was hoping to get on the water this weekend. I have looked all over and haven't found it yet. Updated... I replaced the 3 circuit breakers I highlighted in the photo with similar types. Still no luck. When my foot switch went out last year it still would work on constant on. However, it won't do that now so I don't really think it's at the petal. Any other ideas before I have to take it to the shop? Thanks,

There has got to be an in-line fuse somewhere between your trolling batteries and your TM. If it's not back there, it may be under the dash but I doubt it. Have you checked every single fuse in the back compartment that connects to battery leads? I can't see the photos, btw. My company has them blocked.

Had the same problem on mine and it was the relay switch in the foot controll pedal. On site out at Lake Fork had it fised in 15 minutes.

Have you checked the output side of the breakers you have circled in the picture with a test light? I have blown 2 in the past 2 months, and resetting them did not indicate anything, had to test them with my test light to find out which one was bad.

If you pull the leads off the breaker (fuse) things you got circled and connect them one at a time time to the batterry and test motor one of um might be bad

While you're at it, I'd replace all those fuses -- they don't last forever, they get cooroded. You can get replacements at an auto parts store cheap -- probably will fix your problem and good preventative maintenence too.

Some of the fuses or breakers you have circled have a manual reset and some are supposed to rest themselves when the condition that tripped them goes away. For a test you could bypass them just to make sure they are the issue. I would not take them out of the circuit permanently, but you could take them out for a test. If TM work with them bypassed and does not work with them in the circuit then you know for sure they were the issue. As mentioned above you can get repalcements at an auto parts store most likely.

Get cha a test light or multi meter, test all sides of all breakers and fuses, if they all have power goto were your tm is plugged in or were the leads out of the tm are connected in the bow, check for power on both sides, if they do it's going to be in the tm itself..

Have you check for power all the way to TM? Batteries, battery side of fuse/breaker, tm side of fuse/breaker, behind plug/connection to main tm leads?
What voltage is your tm?
Are your batteries charged and at 14volts?
Are the switches on tm turned on?
Is the master breaker flipped/turned on?

Have you taken a Test Light or Meter to your circuits? Check for power before the fuse, other side of fuse, then at the Trolling motor plug. Depending on where power stops that's where your problem is........

I had the same issue a year ago. It would only happen when I was on high for a long time. I replaced all three breakers and I have not had any issues since. I have the Minn Kota 101 Pro Maxxum trolling motor and has been no problems since.
