What is funny is none of the weather stations want to go out on a limb and predict but just a chance of showers and thunderstorms for Saturday.

I know it's a ways out there, but it just goes to show with all the up to date technology they still don't know until it gets here.

Just one more cast!

XOM, Anadarko and others evacuating all Western Gulf offshore platforms right now. Looks to be headed to Corpus at this time, but I'm betting the high pressure pushes it into Mexico. We'll see.

I have thought of the downfalls of tropical storms and hurricanes, but,as was pointed out, cattle are starving, and so is everything else.We must have rain anyway we can get it.

I agree.. bring on the rain. I was hit with hurricane Ike, Rita, Humberto... none were any pleasant by all means, but we are in dire need of rain and will take any way we can get in my opinion

Retirement best job ever.

I think the upper level energy will be there to fire off storms all across the state but I don't think it will be strong enough to break through the cap. That is probably why they aren't giving us a good rain chance.

yep...weather channel reporting that it should still get steered towards the north overnight, but local news here saying we'll be lucky to get 3/4". Sucks.

Theres a couple behind it, but only time will tell.

I hope we get a couple inches of rain here in Houston the lake needs it so bad. We need the rain here so we can keep water for the city to drink I'm hoping for a couple of tropical storms and the lake will fill back up.

It was not a dud if you lived in Brownsville, but it has rained itself out already.Hopefully it helped some valley crops without messing up the cotton harvest.
