yellow worms found in bass on toledo bend??

my son & i got on some 2lb bass & hyberdes to day and keep some for dinner while i was claening them i found a few small yellow worms in the meat only one worm in about 4 pieces out of 20. has anyone every seen this they were about the size of a piece of #2 lead & 1/8" long.

I see them in pond fish often. Shouldn't stop a real cajun.

They are thick in the fish in our pond in Oklahoma. I know they won't hurt you when cooked because some in my family clean and eat the fish. I personally haven't been hungry enough to eat worms so I can't say firsthand.

All you have to do is pop them out with a knife when you fillet them. Just don't let your wife see.

I have cleaned fish at Amistad and found one or two of the skinnier fish had worms in the meat. We decided to throw those fish away. The fish did not look healthy compared to some of the other fish we cleaned. Not worth taking a chance.

You will have them in the fish especially during the summer. Just take the knife and cut them out. Done that for years.
