topwaters most of the day worked well for me this weekend. Don't forget about the area up towards the dam. I tend to get in behind the dam and go down a ways, but this weekend; I went back up towards the dam bass fishing doing pretty good! Sandies were thick also.

I work on weekends so I have days off during the week, not so bad for fishing. I have never been fishing up river from the bridge. I don't really care about the sandies, although a couple striper would be fun.

Yeah I'm the same way. Bass were biting OK but I won't turn away from the sandies on the river (especially on topwater).

Wife just told me she forgot to tell me about a Dr's appointment scheduled tomorrow. How disappointing is that. I was already geared up. I have only been in the yak 3 times this year and have not been in my new yak yet. It will be awhile before I get in it too! I told her in the car moments later that I could not talk to her because I just got kicked in the nutz. She did not understand and she asked by who, I replied by you and I am unable to converse with you right now. She thinks I am acting like our kids and maybe so, but I am soooo disappointed!

I am going Friday and will give a report. Dont know what time I will be out there, depends on when I get done setting up at the Deer Lease right down the street. I see many fin and fur trips coming up!

Start early as possible, stop and make camp late, paddle fast between fishing holes, and fish some at night.
