I just dont get all the complaining every year. Where else are you going to go fish for $20K? Are yall complaining because you'd rather the tournament be on a lake you have a better chance on? So what if its on Roberts twice. All I see is 2 shots at $20K on Roberts. Better start doing my homework. Somebody has to win every time. And there will be strong locals at EVERY event. We all know this. So what? If you want to fish for that kind of money, instead of trying to find all the negatives, maybe you should get your lake map out and start your homework. I think the reason there is complaining about Ray Roberts is because it is on the schedule TWICE.. I wouldnt mind toughing out the March event but I just think there are better lakes in the North that they could fish once instead of Roberts twice. If you are going to hit a lake twice, why Roberts? Its the WORST tournament lake on the schdule Am I reading this right that you or whoever doesnt want to go to Roberts because it may fish tough?

Just went to look at the east schedule and noticed that Fork is on it. I assume this is a 5 fish stringer tournament. How will that work out with the Fork slot limit? I haven't been in the game in about 12 years so this is all new to me. I am trying to get my ducks in a row to get back at it ASAP....

I'm curious as to why Conroe wouldn't be a good alternative to one of the Rayburn dates? Alot of the guys that fish big Sam are from the Houston area and there are a bunch of good sticks on Conroe. I think Bass Champs would get the same amount of entries or more, if they are worried about numbers. They alreay have the guaranteed money for Rayburn it does draw good but those numbers went down this year. Conroe would draw the boats for 20K alot of local guys would enter for 20k just like all the locals on Rayburn I just would like to see it spread around. I can complain b/c I fish this trail THANK YOU!

Does anyone know if BC receives money from the venue for bringing the tourney to their location?

Its the WORST tournament lake on the schdule Its the worst tournament lake on the schedule??? Your kidding right? The lake is tough and there is no doubt about it. I will be the first to admit that. BUT...It looks like it had the heaviest sacks on the schedule. What makes a good lake a tourney lake? The potential to catch a possible 30 pound stringer or the amount of teams that can bring in the most limits and feel good about themselves at the end of the day... Please explain? Ray Roberts vs Cedar Creek? Ray Roberts vs Tawak? I'm confused....

Once again Grant2, I agree. Heck I live on Rayburn and am only 6 minutes from the Pavilion, makes it nice on tournament day but I would like to have some other lakes scheduled in the East. If only to give me an excuse to fish them, let's face it guys Big Sam gets pounded every year and could use a break.
Also hats off to Mr. Garrie, but I dang sure don't hope he wins them all!!

BC does what they think is best and that is why they are the best. I would prefer not to fish Fork for a stringer tourney but they do it because it is the biggest draw they have and I would do the same.
I sure don't see the same guys winning on the north division since RR finally got caught. There are a ton of really good teams up here and the points race/finishes in the money show that. I think we should keep the criticism to ourselves and just enjoy that we have the best trail in the U.S. to fish!!
Thank you BassChamps.

Well ay you are right it is the best trail but people can say what they want if they fish the trail they are paying customers. If they don't like what they see than yes they need to say something or it will never change. That's like only having one brand of boat now just shut up and be glad you have a boat.

I live and mckinney and will be fishing the south in 2012. Almost did it this year and wish i would have. I'd rather take off 4 days a month and fish arguably the 4 best lakes in texas.. not bashing the north i just like the idea of catching trophy bass regardless if i'm in a tourney. And i have to admit.. raybob, cedar creek & t-wok really arent that fun to fish imo. Fork..well i can't talk bad about because it's fork and it's my only basschamps win

I would like to see one of the Roberts tourneys moved back to Lewisville. And this is from someone who won the June Roberts tourney. March 3rd on Roberts is going to be very tough and if a cold front precedes the tourney then a limit will be very hard to come by.

I used to ask myself "why don't I fish basschamps?" then I looked at the schedule and answered my own question
