One little suggestion; take a Phillips screwdriver and tighten the 6 screws that hold it together. I had mine laying on the front deck this morning and threw a coffee can full of water up there to rinse it off. Thought nothing of it until it was time to use it again, no worky. Thought the battery way have expired, took it apart and it was wet inside, it apparently dried out on the way home and works great now.

Another happy iPilot angler here! I Love the spotlock feature!
One "cool" thing I tried last weekend with the spotlock while fishing at my super secret fishing hole near a highway bridge (at some remote lake in Oklahoma, hehe). This was during peek afternoon, fish was stacked under the boat, the catching was fast and furious, the sun blazing hot, the heat index was probably 100+ degrees so I decided to drift 5 yards deep under the adjacent bridge for shade, pressed the spotLock. The wind was 15mph with 2 ft incoming rollers. Man i was absolutely amazed even with the thick concrete slab overhead it did not block the gps signal and the spotlock worked like a pro. Totally amazing!! And even with the cross wind and my boat floated in between two pillars 10 yrds apart, the boat remained relative centered and still and we casted our lures out to the sun and boated more fish while enjoying the cool shade. The temp dropped 10-15 degrees in the shade and that was first class fishing for this angler!! LOL!
My 36V 101# thrust TM can go two full trips without recharging. Havent tried three straight trips yet. The digital technology has made vast improvement for power efficiency also, I guess equivalent to the digital/electronic fuel injection replacing carburetors in car engines in term of energy efficiency? You still remember car engine carburetor right? LOL!
I highly recommend it to other anglers! Yeah, I wish it could self deploy and stow (and maybe fetch a cold beverage) then that would be a perfect TM! hehehe.

Todd I talked my dock neighbor into getting one and I'm pricing one out now. After fishing with you and experiencing first hand that kind of control I was sold. Now I just need to buy!

The best thing that has been invented since the wheel.I would recomend a little caution in shallow water. I'm on my third indestructible shaft.First one broke when I didn't slide the depth bracket up when stowing it< I just latched it and it self deployed at 35 mph. The second shaft shatered when I hit a stump in shallow murky water. Both where fixed under warranty. I still would not trade it for any other trolling moter out there.

I've heard this before about self deploying. Can you explain in detail what you mean about the depth bracket.

I just ordered one with my new boat. I ordered the foot pedal option also. Does any body have one with the foot control? it sounded like it might come in handy because of some of the comments I have heard about using the remote all the time.

I have the foot control option and use it all the time, it has the auto-pilot button on it so you don't have to spend a bunch of time "aiming" the TM. If you wear shorts or pants with a belt loop you can just have the hand control with you all the time. I use the Spot lock feature to hold on fish and the foot pedal to manuever around.

This thing is awesome for ledge fishing. Pitt and I stayed within 6 feet of the glory hole the other night in 15 mph winds. Smacked 'em real good. I'm surprised I haven't seen more of these on bass tournament boats as it will really hold you on your deep water spots in the summer..

I have been pricing them for months and the cheapest I have found them is www.poorfish.comthey always have a sale going on and when useing the 20% off code they end up being around $1120 for a 80lb terrova w/I-pilot. the only problem is they only have them on their website when they have them in stock and trust me from wathcing their site they sell out very fast. give them a call and they should be able to hook you up.

Frank, make sure for 24V, get the highest thrust and longest shaft available. I got the quick release mount also, for easier installing and easier to remove the TM. I feel sorry for the fish now, hehe.
