Well, I think the season for the big bull reds is 99.9% over. I fished from the S. Jetty at Port Aransas two days this weekend and didn't see any caught Saturday, but did see 3 caught Sunday down near the end of the jetty -- on live shrimp, go figger! Did have dolphins playing 60 to 100 ft in front of me (channel side) and did get to see two rows of them surfing the waves in on the surf side. Sat was kind of cold and the wind made it kind of uncomfortable, and the current was way to strong for me to cast into it -- it would pull heavy spider weights all teh way up to the edge of the jetty. Sunday was great, got up to about 80, current not to strong, wind just right. But no fish. Same two guys who caught the three reds also caught several large sheephead. They caught the redfish while fishing for sheephead. One of the redfish was in the high 30", but it was in a bag, and I didn't see it laid out nor weighed.

I'll wait for drum season to fire up before I hit the jetties again. They should me moving in a few weeks.
