Hi, we are going to the State Fishing Pier wed pm, Can anyone give me adice on gear?? 12-14lb line OK?? What kind of rigging for bait??

Line size will be fine, I use 12lb on Shimano with light Falcon rod. I haven't fished from the pier and since it is a long way down to the water you may need a stiffer rod.

I fish with live shrimp under a cork which you can buy at Don's located at the bottom of the causeway. I use 3/0 and 4/0 circle hooks which work just fine. Good Luck

Try the north side and go to the 2nd light from the end. Theres an oyster shell within casting distance that will produce using live shrimp. Good luck!
