So is catfish corner the only catfish farm I happy to find that one my other one closed an I was really looking for another but I am looking for a closer one does anybody know of anyothers that are closer to the grapevine area

The 1 off Lawson rd by Mesquite is not worth a dang do to the rules, cost, and small fish last i heard 2 yrs ago.
Any body remember the name of that place? Have the rules changed yet?

Check TPW for stocking of city parks and ponds.You cant camp out but at least the fish make keeper limits and if you are fishing with kids they may let you stay late.

I just got back from catfish corner an as long as you get there early its a guaranteed 5 fish I went with my dad brother and nephew an caught 12 good-sized cats I just wish it was closer so I could go more often

Catfish corner is always gauranteed. I grew up going there. Great memories. I think the small pond off to the left when you first walk in is the best one.

Yea I went to the pond in the middle caught 9 so it was still a great trip.

An do you know of any other fish farms that are guaranteed like that

no I sure dont, Catfish Corner is the only one Ive ever known about. Actual pay to fish stock tanks are hard to come by these days. I wish there were more.

Hahaha^ I belive that the prices vary on how you want them cleaned when me an my dad go we get it cleaned an skinned for 3.75 a pound an fillets are 4.25 an pound I haven't been a a while so I might be spot on but that's about what it is an they open at 8 an close at 11

Thanks atmadison, I had heard they were a little expensive but never really checked into it. They had Lawson road closed from Hwy 80 last time I checked so if you come in the near future you may want to have an alternate route. I live close enough that I can hear the Devil's Bowl Speedway (in my living room) that is across the street from the catfish farm.
