Hey guys I just bought a new trailer for my ranger boat, decided it was time to go with a tandem axle. I store my boat in my 3rd garage but it is a side entry garage so i have to push the boat in by hand. I used to be able to do this by myself with my old single axle trailer but the tandem does not turn or roll near as easy. I have seen the trailer dollies that they sell but they seem to have mixed reviews. Is there something else out there that would assist me in making the hard turn and push it takes to get my boat into the garage?

Thanks,

jw

I have to put mine into a tight spot also --- I put a front hitch on my truck that makes that a much easier chore. The hitch includes a wire and power to lock out the brakes while backing -- almost impossible to back up otherwise.

That park it 360 thing is pretty neat. I might have to look into that. Too bad there is not a local place that sells those so i could look at it before committing.

thanks,

jw

I have a 16' lowboy trailer with tandem axles, I couldn't pull it out of the back yard with my four wheeler because the trailer wanted to steer the four wheeler. Mine has springs with an equalizer link betwee front and rear spring. I jacked the front of trailer up high enough to raise the front trailer wheels off the ground then put a short piece of 2"X4" between the trailer frame and the front of the equalizer link then lowered trailer, rear wheel now cleared the ground and I can pull it with the four wheeler with no problems. lots of trouble but it works. b

I have seen the parkit 360 in action at a dealer, they make moving them super easy. if you have any sort of back problems like I do it will pay for itself in less visits to the chiropractor.
