I'm getting the kayak back in the water in about an hour.
Launching at Austin High School at about 2:30(ish) and headed toward mopac, if anybody on the area wants to join. Going to do my regular drifts across the grass. And then tie up in some shade and set some lines out for big redear and probably carp, since I haven't caught a carp out of the kayak yet.
I'll have my phone with me if you you want to come, but can't make it till later, i'll probably be getting off the water by 7. Cell is 806 928-3169. Or I'm pretty hard to miss in the my ocean kayak, it's a mango prowler big game with the only fully clothed person on the entire lake.

Looking forward to the upcoming report. If I was there I would defiantly be meeting up with you. Today was a Church and catch up day for me. Will be hitting the fishing trail this coming week.

It's pretty funny that you can see the reflection of my turquoise shirt and orange kayak on that last fish.

It's the only way to get on LBL, unless you want a canoe or a stand up paddle board instead. I didn't have the patience to try and fish for carp for more than about... 10 minutes. All fish, except the bigger bass (H2O xpress CRULD; threadfin), were caught on the the rapala. Lost another one today, so I am down to 1, but it caught me some fish too, the last one seems to look like a cutthroat trout or something, lots of orange on it. Too bad these things cost $5.50, I'm going to have to wait for them to go on sale again or win a few more bonus fish so that I can afford them.

I thought you could launch a regular bass boat in there and just use the trolling motor.

I have actually seen a bass boat one time and it was all the way up at Red Bud (I was walking my dog). He actually cranked up the motor and idled off. I'm not sure on the actual rules and mainly just have no idea where there is a real boat ramp. Plus you may get some nasty looks from the SUP and rower guys and gals.

Outboard motors or any type of gas motors are not allowed to be used on Lady Bird Lake. You can however use an electric trolling motor. LCRA rule.

thanks again guys.
Figured it out! The two rapalas I have lost were "brown trout" and "fire minnow". The one I have left is "hot mustard muddler". And I guess the model is the (countdown) CD-1. Looks like I need to restock with some more of these and maybe the CD-3, which is 1.5" long. If they catch fish like the small ones I guess they are worth the $7.50.

I am gonna figure out where I can get my boat in the water. I think there is a ramp under the interstate but not positive. Far as the rowers they can give all the looks they want. I'm thinking big ol' ice chest with cold drinks and snacks, sunbrella top up, crickets and other assorted baits, and of course my 2 boys, we could have a good ol' time!
