This is good news. I was debating going back down again this Saturday. It looks like we will probably try again now that the water is clearing. This time I need to stop and get some bait first.

Fished the surf between #6 and # 7 [Surfside] this morning.Water is rough due to South/southwest wind.Trying to clear up.

What is the best time of the year to fish at surfside? Also would you rather fish Jetty or Surf?

Surf always for me.I fished the jetty several weeks ago,first time in 20 years.It has not changed.One gets a hook up and all your new friends crowd you.I like to make a cast left or right,not just straight ahead.Also,there was trash everywhere.If you have kids,probably not a bad place to take them.If you want to wade,the base of the jetty is not too bad with our south/southwest wind that we have now.I usually end up anywhere from access # 4 to the pass.For trout,best time in the surf is probably late April through September.Long rods anytime of the year.
