Yep, Minks. They are very cool. Lavon has a few families running the dam and the train tracks. they appreciate some sandies if they accidentally get caught and released onto the rocks.

Like jay said I want one but it probably would end up on when animals attack episode. here is one carrying one off.

Otter! lol its a dang Mink you fools. They look nothing like an otter The original pic was of otters. The pic I posted was to show a mink from Lake Arlington. Never meant it to represent an otter. Sorry for any confusion.

Here's an otter family playing on our dock.

Wow, this thread had my head spinning for a minute. Just so there is no confusion, above are definitely River Otters and the ones in the OP's sig look to be, as well. Kinda hard to tell with such a tiny photo. Yes, there are River Otters at Fork. Sandlin too as evidenced by J.P.'s photo.
There are also tons of minks around area lakes and they prefer riprap as habitat. They were released by well-meaning owners who learned the hard way that they do not make great pets. They were all the craze 15 years ago. I've never seen a mink at Fork, but there isn't much riprap, either.
Coincidence is His way of remaining anonymous.

I've sighted a pair of otters on the Yegua above Lake Somerville twice last winter and got one on video in January, before that time I'd only had fleeting glimpses and blurry photos but the video is proof positive that there are otters in the creek.
