We wanted to be the first to send a huge congrats to Rich Dalbey for making it to the Forrest Wood Cup tournament this year. This is the second time he's qualified to make it. When you think about how many people worked all year for the chance to make it, you realize just how big of an accomplishment this is.

Rich had a couple of bad experiences this year on the Tour, but hung in there and finished the year off with enough points to qualify.

Congrats Rich!!! Go win it bud. You earned it!!

I had the pleasure of drawing him on a hurrican of a day on chambers a few years ago! We ended up rippin the cowling off the motor due to the waves

Rich was worried he wouldn't make it after his finishes in the last 2 tourneys, but had just enough to place a few places above the cut. He caught two nice ones on the last day of Pickwick and barely got out of the lock in time to make it back. It was a nail biter sitting in that lock for all that time. That has to be a great feeling to know you get to fish the Cup again.

I appreciate the kind words from both Hag and Fish Killer. Chris, I do remember that day on Chambers and it was blowing.It was a pleasure fishing with you. Being a weekend warrior I feel very fortunate to get to fish the Forrest Wood Cup for my second time in two years. Tommy , thanks for the new color Pump/Melon F5 that you gave me at Oak Ridge the weekend before. That bait on a shakey head is the one that made the difference for me on that last day. We will see what happens at Oauchita in a couple of weeks but I am looking forward to being there.

Back to back qualifier into the Forrest Wood Cup says a lot about Rich's ability. Diane and I are both very proud of you. Have a great time and if scheduling allows Diane and I might ride out for a day.
