I believe he has gone a bit overboard. I like that he has the passion and competitive drive but he is an arrogant prick.

This isn't your local club...this is the elite series...you are a professional representing your sponsors and more importantly the sport...do act like it.

Oh come on, if you were a pro basketball player and dunked on michael jordan for a win, you'd probably say some of the same things. He didn't mention the other guys, cause well, they aren't KVD. Kevin should feel flattered that Reese specifically mentioned him, it lets KVD know he's feared and has the mental edge. Rivalry's are good in sports .

What's the difference in what he said vs what happens everyday in all other sports? How many times did you hear if we can stop Michael Jordan we have a chance to win, if we can shut down Payton Manning, etc. Then they get praise after the game for containing the best player if they accomplish it. I don't watch Nascar but there are rivalries there all the time with certain drivers wanting to beat or take out other drivers. Before Tiger Woods fell from glory how many times did you hear people talking about beating Tiger Woods? Lots and if they managed to do it you know dang well they were talking smack. If people want bass fishing to be mainstream then a rivalry is a good thing in my opinion. To me Skeet is just being competitive and gets fired up about knocking the world number 1 out of the game.

The difference is he said he "doesn't care about what else happens the rest of the week." This wasn't about knocking Kevin out so he could go on to win. This was about taking delight in satisfying his vendetta. Skeet is the ONLY angler (well maybe Clunn, too) who will not admit that KVD is the best competitive bass angler in the history of our sport. Skeet's HUGE ego won't let him accept it. Think I'm wrong? Ask any angler in the Elites.

I've never been a SR fan. Don't dislike him just don't care for him. He is all about ME Me me. Arrogance is so unattractive on people. KVD is Confident. Skeet is Arrogant and there is a BIG difference.

I understand the personal satisfaction it would give ya, but when your in the public spotlight all the time you need to keep your comments in check.... Either way, let the record books show the end results.
