Howdy Fishermen!
Just got back from a 2 day offshore trip in Port Aransas. Fishin' was GREAT!! Went out on the Pelican with Captain John Brennan from Deep Sea Headquarters. The first day we caught limits of Red Snapper about 60 NM offshore near oil pumps. Next day caught limits of Shark and a mess of Kingfish and Cobia while drift-fishing about 25 NM out. Most success was on sardines with limited success on ribbon fish. Seas were a bit rough on the trip out, but got better as the day went on...
Good Luck!
Since fishing is a sport, I guess that makes us athletes...

Thanks for the report. I am coming down to Port A on July 7-13. I plan on doing some offshore fishing that week. We usually hit the rigs on the way to what we call Hospital Rock approximately 40 miles out.

watersman, just saw the thread. Are you going on a party boat or a private charter?
