Have tied the past few evenings in preparation for next week. Not my best, but have not really tied many trout patterns lately. Luckily my midge box is full so did not have to tie anything under an 18.

Figured you would want a preview so you knew which ones you wanted to "borrow" on the stream next week... smile

That bottom fly is one of my favorite trout flies of all time.






All time being the 3 years I have fly fished.

I agree it is a great fly, especially for small streams and brookies.

Took me a little while to get "in the groove" of tying on smaller hooks as I have not tied many trout flies the past 3 years since mostly fishing in TX.

At least my midge box was already well stocked and did not have to tie anything below an 18!
