I'm heading down to South Padre this weekend with a bay boat. Anyone know where there might be some trout or reds between Corpus and Baffin?

Did you do any good? I live in Abilene and am ready to travel to the same area when the fishing turns on. Long drive only to find the water's still too cold.

Let me know how you did.

Hey fish tales, I'm originally from Amarillo but live now in east texas, I do most of my saltwater fishing now at a place called Roll Over Pass which is in the town called Boliver Tx. Great fishing there along with great places to camp out too. Theres a bait shop there called northendbaitandtackle that provide great hamburgers for the hawngry fisherman. The water temps are getting warmer above 65 degrees and and getting warmer. Good reports on the specs and specs lately on the flats on the bay side of Roll Over Pass on the outgoing tide. Good luck and be safe!!! thumb

Not alot of luck but we managed to fish the bay and did some pier fishing. Sand trout are very good and it was difficult but we did catch some speckled trout. Live shrimp was the only bait we had any luck with. Did try some soft plastics but no luck.
Hope you have better luck!

I pounded them this morning in the Lauguna shores area caught about two limmits but released everything. The fish are really biting. Everyone is doing good there.
