The easiest time to catch them is Spring. I've caught a few with the largest about 5 pounds. My son caught a 2 pounded and we freed it up and mmmmmm the best fish "sammich" I have e we had! .204 Ballistic 300R - Speed, Ride, Fishability!

According to TPWD Fishing Reports: Greenbelt, Mackenzie, Merideth and White River have reports on eyes, so I guess those lakes have them. Godo luck. Tight lines, keep safe and good luck. FiShtick Outdoorsman F Joined: Oct 2009 Posts: 191	About ten years ago I caught one at Bridgeport. Then the next spring at Eagle Mountain we caught one about 6" long in a net while getting bait. I don't know if they spawn or not, but if not that one was really small to be so old.
