First off, let me say that I understand if no one really wants to give any specifics. I grew up fishing in Louisiana with my dad in mostly spillway, bayou type situations. I have been in Texas for a few years now and am trying to make the adjustment to deep water fishing. The summer/winter has been my biggest challenge. I am gonna be going to Lake Fork on Saturday with a friend and plan on launching at LFM. Is anyone willing to PM me any info that may be helpful for Saturday. General locations, techniques, and colors would be helpful. I do understand people not giving out their secret spots. I will more than likely get a guide trip in August and do this the right way. Thanks for any info offered.

There are fish on every roadbed, hump, and pond dam on the lake. The trick is timing. You have to be there when they decide to bite. C rigs and jigs are working well anywhere from 12-30' of water. If you get on a school of fish they will eat a DD22 too. Good luck.

Throw a crankbait until your arm falls off. You'll find em eventually and they'll be stacked.

To emphasize what Ken said, you have to hit them at the right time. There are very few "secret" deep spots on Fork any more. Just try to get on one during a tournament. That said, my typical summer deal at Fork involves making a milk run of spots over and over throughout the day. Eventually, you'll pull up on one and the fish will be stacked and feeding. It may be the first time you check it or the 5th. I've burned 50 gallons in the summer more than a care to admit, doing this very thing. Good luck Ron!
