Howdy to my Texas friends.

I've been neglecting writing in here..no good reason. Well, had trouble signing in and been fishing a lot.

Only been out once for bluegill. Caught a limit (yes, NE has a limit) of 15...all 7-9 inches.

My favorite secret trout spot has come back and gone nuts. 15-18 inchers that are butterball fat.

Bass fishing has been good, but not great.

Had a great trip to Canada in June. Big northern, walleye and lakers.

But back to work and sitting in South Dakota in the heat wishing I was home fishing for bluegills. Next week for sure.

Hope you folks are getting some rain and cooler weather and your bluegill fishing is awesome.

Great hearing from you "Bunkerhunter". I sure miss those fishing reports from Lake LBJ. I was in that neck of the woods last week. I fished Inks Lake and a small piece of LBJ in Kingsland. Caught some very nice Gills off of that inlet. They were very fat and had some good size. thumb Fishing overall has been good. fish It has however been one hot very dry summer. flame We had a little thunder shower yesterday but we need a hurricane to help fill up the Lakes,Rivers,Ponds and Creeks. It is super dry. blablabla Hopefully we will get a lot of rain soon. thumb Mean time stay safe and keep fishing. Send us some pictures from Nebraska. fish

Good to hear from you. Fishing is good here too so far. No rain may change that though soon. Take care and keep in touch.

Lake Buchanan is down over 8 feet. There are no public boat ramps in use. Had to put in on the beach. Also a lot of stumps are starting to show. LBJ is holding good for now as is Inks. All of the creeks in that area are just about bone dry and can really use the rain.

Now we'll see if I remember how to insert pictures. Went this morning. A bit slow...lots of little fish. I did manage a limit of 15. Had 3 of them 7". All the rest were over 8"...but no 9"'s.

All on the fly rod. Bass wouldn't even look so all in all, a great morning.
