The crooks deserve what they get.

Good for TPWD's Law Enforcement Division and the landowner who turned them in, if the facts are as stated.
Lot's of guys love to trash our GW's, but 99.9% are outstanding men and women. GW's have a very difficult and dangerous job, often alone, in the middle of nowhere in the middle of the night. They do it because they love it. Not for the dollars because that is a rarity in this business.
I would submit that level of commitment is a rarity in most other endeavors aside from military, first responders and leo's.
Coincidence is His way of remaining anonymous.

karma is a *****. That just goes to show you the complete disregard for the LAW by the guides and the lawyer who hired them

Break the law, then go on the news bragging about it takes some smarts. When I first saw this a couple weeks ago, I was like "danm" that's a winner, then the news tonight spilled the beans or the truth, how ever you want to look at it. Glad it wasn't my money.

Surely there's more to this story. Perhaps he forgot to pay the land owner....???
Need to improve my LMB fishing, running out of time.

If they were floating down a river and they killed it in the water is it still killed on his property? No. Landowners do not own the river, or river bed.

I doubt Mr. McCathern's is guilty. He hired a guide and a reasonable person would expect the guide(s) to know where or where not to legally hunt gators. All I see is that he was a victim as well.
