Anyone fish it? I did back over Labor Day weekend in 1997. Had a great time, though was really clueless about catfishing back then. Would love to goback now that I at least have a clue.

yes. Back then I was stationed at Fort Hood. A friend/co-worker's parents ran the campground at Hudspeth Beach.

Was a nice lake.

I know some people that live in that area. From what I understand it is a really good lake for channel cats. It has some flatheads. No blues

We mainly fished for Crappie and Bass back then. We caught a couple channels in the 4+ pound range while crappie fishing with minnows by standin the trees.

Caught a couple more fishing off the bank on shad.

Now that I'm better educated on fishing for cats, I'm definitely going to try to get back up there.
