Do any of you own/use these Flip video cameras? Was looking at them today, with the hat attachment...and I can see me shooting endless "on the water" videos with these things, and then posting them to YouTube...first thought is dock shooting with one of these, and you would actually be seeing the jig fly under the dock.

They are not expensive, and looking for opinions...thanks.

I have one and they are very easy to make videos with. I have made several on youtube and they are in HD. I would grab it.

The flip videos are pretty good. I haven't played with I much yet on the pc side but the videos came out with resolution that wasn't great.
If you're looking at the actual flip videos, I read a month or so ago that cisco bought them and will not be renewing the line. You might want to check that out

Invest a little more and get with a Go Pro Camera. The crew with Blue Collar Adventures used a couple of them when they fished/filmed with me back in March. You can mount them just about anywhere, battery life is good and they'll hold lots of footage. The waterproof case allowed us to get some underwater footage as well.

Duck, you cant go wrong with the GoPro HD Hero helmet cam! It comes as kit, with a helmet mount, suction cup mount for your windsield in the boat, and 2 housing, 1 water proof. It shoots in 1080P which is high quality HD video. Love mine, I have mounted it to my pedastal base in the back of the boat and filmed catching fish off bridges. The helmet head band is killer for leaning over and getting shots of shooting jigs under the docks! Go to gopro.com and check these little cams out. The whole unit with a led piggy back screen on it on weighs like 6oz. or something. It is a sweet little rig! I really enjoy mine, no if I can find the time to edit video and add some music, I will be in good shape! Good luck Brian!!!

I filmed a video going 140 mph through the Addsion tunnel with my GOPRO. It's awesome! I also have a flip and it's MUCH easier to use.

How did you ever get it slowed up at the other end?

I was in the passenger seat. There is a guy that owns a shop in Addison that all he does it work on high end Mercedes. This car supposedly had 150hp over a bone stock one. So it should have been about 750. I think they are a 12cyl turbo. The tunnel is longer than you think. Ive had my Subaru WRX up to 120 a couple times and I have stock brakes, (thats about all thats stock). The tunnel is a popular place for high end cars to stretch their legs. No crosswind, and exhaust sounds awesome.

Just looked online. They have 15.4 in brakes, so that helps lol.

All I can say is WOW! I bet that would be awesome if no one else was in the tunnel.

I'm with everyone else on the GoPro... Helmet cam is awkward because your head moves WAY more than you think... Videos reflect that, but the suction cup mount can be very handy...

Flip video is easier to use and takes better videos in my opinion... But it's not waterproof... I kayak a lot, so my GoPro gets used a lot more...

That sure would be fun on a motorcycle... or modded SL63... or modded WRX... or street luge... whatever...
