the download for me took about 10 minutes, but the install to card is almost an hour, so far. Is this the norm?

If I could get mine out of my HDS 10, I would check to see if it can be upgraded. Won't come out.

Birch creek, not Bruck creek or Burke creek. You have it named wrong in the map and above the creek arm.

Got mine out. How do you check for download and how do you do it?

1) Move the SD card tab so the card is writeable.
2) Insert the SD card into computer.
3) Go to www.navionics.com, select Web Store.
4) Follow the directions.

Enjoy.

Any remaining issues on the updates? We are very interested in understanding where certain system configurations are hanging up.

Its getting much better!

Jeff,
Will the updates hit retail, or will we need to download even if we purchase a new card?
Thanks,
Dave

When will the updates start to have as much data as the 2008 chips? i.e brush piles, structure, submerge ponds, etc?

Can I get additional confirmation that the creek shown below is BIRCH creek?

Thanks-

We always ship the most current data, but you will have no way to know by looking at the chip at the store. With stores that do high volume, you have a good chance of getting the most current data, especially a while after it is released.

Its worth updating the chart anyhow, but by no means are you required to in order to use the card.

The new data has this information, but it is far more complete and accurate than the data we offered in 2008.

This statement ONLY applies to lakes that have been fully updated!
